Growing together This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining records of accounts receivable, including receipts, claims and overdue invoices. Applying incoming cash receipts and wire payments to the appropriate general ledger accounts. Processing refunds and related items. Performing periodic and month-end balancing and reporting activities and other duties as needed. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be aligned with your schedule. Training will be conducted Onsite. Primary Responsibilities: Educate external customers/payers on payment options, billing information (e.g., where to send payment, when invoices are due, information contained on invoices), as appropriate Inform customers/payers of billing problem/issue findings and resolution as appropriate Contact external customers/payers to keep them informed of outstanding balances and required payment, as appropriate Collaborate with internal partners and/or external customers/payers to resolve customer issues Provide requested reports and documents (e.g., invoices; payment histories to internal and/or external customers/payers (e.g., brokers; account managers) Use data from various data sources from billing sub-ledger to report the receivables Collect and analyze key indicators that impact the receivables Perform ad hoc reporting on variables that impact receivables and minimize exposure Break out receivables in different groups and categories to meet reporting requirements and address business needs Identify high risk/impact areas to be communicated to business partners for Accounts Receivable management Work with customers, brokers and third-party administrators to resolve escalated Accounts Receivable issues Work with business partners to resolve accounts receivable balances You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
