About The Position

Green Street seeks highly motivated candidates with relevant work experience, a passion for finance and real estate, and superior academic credentials to join its Strategic Account Management team. The Account Manager’s primary responsibilities will include servicing existing key clients, renewing research subscriptions, training/educating client base, and managing existing relationships with critical accounts. The ideal candidate will be able to create and implement a strategy to increase annual revenue for each key client, actively collect client feedback, and grow the overall relationship. Significant teamwork with the Account Management, Customer Success and New Business teams is expected.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree with high distinction in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales or customer service environment
  • Superior relationship management skills and a desire to help people
  • Sales-driven personality, a competitive nature
  • Experience negotiating with clients, or a desire to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Competent computer skills to perform essential functions listed above (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Fundamental understanding of financial industry (investment banks, lenders, private equity firms, hedge funds, stocks, bonds, etc.)
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Renewing existing accounts with increased service levels and pricing
  • Creating and implementing a key account strategy for each client
  • Identifying upsell and cross sell opportunities to drive incremental revenue for New Business
  • Demonstrating expertise in communicating and selling all aspects of the Green Street platform
  • Obtaining and effectively communicating responses to client questions and data requests, and facilitating interaction between clients and research staff
  • Providing feedback from clients to assess possible enhancements to existing products and the need for new products
  • Training clients on Green Street’s Research, News and Data & Analytics services, as well as our methodology and web-based platform
  • Transitioning new clients from point of sale to the Green Street platform
  • Maintaining accurate customer database of industry contacts and interactions for reporting
  • Consistently providing detailed updates on activities to Account Management team
  • Contributing to team effort and work on special projects
