About The Position

The Senior Account Manager – M&A Insurance & Risk Advisory is responsible for managing complex commercial insurance programs while supporting merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions through insurance due diligence, structuring, and post-close implementation. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, producers, and transaction teams by providing strategic guidance on risk, coverage, and insurance program alignment across both ongoing operations and transactional events.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience with an agency management systems such as Sagitta, ImageRight, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, delivering expert guidance on risk management, coverage structure, and compliance requirements
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive communication and strategic advisory
  • Analyze client exposures and identify coverage gaps; recommend tailored insurance solutions
  • Manage complex service issues, including claims advocacy and coverage disputes
  • Provide ongoing updates on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks
  • Lead insurance diligence for M&A transactions by collecting and reviewing policies, loss runs, and exposure data
  • Analyze insurance programs to identify risks, gaps, and transaction-related liabilities
  • Prepare summaries and recommendations for internal stakeholders and deal teams
  • Align insurance findings with transaction structures and legal considerations
  • Coordinate insurance workstreams during buy-side and sell-side transactions
  • Support placement, restructuring, or endorsement of insurance programs post-close
  • Implement policy changes, including: Adding/removing entities, Adjusting limits, exposures, and locations, Coordinating tail or run-off coverage
  • Lead renewal strategy through exposure analysis, claims review, and market comparison
  • Negotiate with carriers to secure optimal pricing, terms, and coverage
  • Prepare renewal submissions and presentations to carriers and clients
  • Support new business efforts through proposals and participation in sales presentations
  • Ensure continuity of coverage across pre- and post-acquisition entities
  • Act as liaison between clients, producers, underwriters, legal counsel, and transaction advisors
  • Partner with internal teams (claims, placement, analytics) to deliver integrated solutions
  • Develop strong relationships with carriers, brokers, and external partners
  • Maintain organized documentation for client accounts and M&A transactions
  • Track deliverables and ensure alignment with renewal cycles and deal timelines
  • Document all activity in agency management systems
  • Contribute to process improvement, including development of diligence frameworks and best practices
