About The Position

The Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines role is responsible for managing an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business acquisition. This position involves coordinating day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring accuracy in all transactions. The Senior Account Manager will also serve as a subject matter expert for the account management team, demonstrating strong technical competence and industry expertise. The role requires directing daily activities and workflow of the account management team, handling customer service requests, managing policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis. Additionally, the position involves managing policy expirations and renewals, conducting client research, preparing submissions, negotiating coverages, and presenting proposals. Monitoring accounts receivable, maintaining agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, and ensuring data accuracy are also key functions. The role emphasizes frequent, transparent communication with the account team, delivering excellent service, proactively anticipating client needs, and staying updated on company policies and procedures. Requirements

  • 5+ years of account management experience, or 7+ years in the insurance industry
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
  • Required active licensing
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
