About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Account Leader/Project Manager to join their team and support the growth of water, wastewater, and stormwater opportunities in Central and North Florida. This role, based in Orlando, Florida, involves collaborating with other leaders and technical experts to win and execute projects, ensuring client objectives are met with excellent service. The position also contributes to strategic growth and planning for the market area.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in business development and/or project management in the water, wastewater, stormwater, and resilience sectors.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or a related field of study.
  • Florida P.E. License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience in client and project management with municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and/or resilience projects of various sizes.
  • Strong technical engineering and management skills.
  • Experience in planning and design for municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and/or resilience projects.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with clients.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Ability to deliver client presentations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with local municipalities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or a related field of study.
  • Project Management Professional or Environmental Sustainability Professional certification.
  • 5+ years of relevant sales and account management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to expand services to current clients and acquire new clients.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships with decision-makers at multiple levels to become a trusted advisor.
  • Develop a deep understanding of local utility issues, client needs, future project planning, and market conditions to improve positioning for future pursuits.
  • Understand client organizations' processes and culture to create value-added solutions.
  • Lead pursuit plans, develop client engagement strategies, and participate in task order development and interviews to win new projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers to monitor planning, design, and construction administration of projects to ensure quality services and deliverables within project schedules.
  • Serve as a project manager to monitor planning, design, and construction administration of projects, and lead or assist in developing scope and cost proposals for task orders and projects.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource on small to large-sized, multi-disciplined, municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, and/or utility planning, design, construction, and program management projects.
  • Support the development of junior and mid-level staff.
  • Collaborate with the National Water Practice Leader and the broader National Water Practice network to support technical alignment, share best practices, and contribute to consistent water process approaches across regions.
  • Engage externally in professional organizations and internally with national practice leadership on LCRI, AWIA, research, innovation, emerging contaminants, and/or water quality issues.
  • Deliver key financial performance, including growth.
