About The Position

PSX is a national systems integrator specializing in electronic security, physical/perimeter security, and parking & access systems. Founded in 1969, PSX serves commercial, critical infrastructure, and government clients through nine offices across the U.S. Our solutions include: Electronic Security: Video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection Physical / Perimeter Security: Gates, barriers, turnstiles, crash-rated and hardened perimeter systems Parking & Access Systems: Integrated access and revenue control solutions PSX is known for delivering custom, installed solutions, strong execution, and long-term customer partnerships. PSX is seeking a Senior Sales Executive with experience selling commercial electronic security, access control, video surveillance, or perimeter security systems. This is not a general sales role. We are specifically looking for someone who has personally conducted site walks, recommended system layouts, and sold installed, site-specific solutions — not someone who relies entirely on pre-sales engineers to define the solution. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you will own deals end-to-end — from prospecting and site walks through solution concept, proposal, negotiation, and close. You will not be responsible for CAD or engineering drawings, but you must be able to confidently recommend: Camera placement Access control points Gate, barrier, and perimeter solutions based on site conditions and customer needs. Typical deal size: $15K – $150K+ Typical sales cycle: ~2–6 months

Requirements

  • Experience selling commercial security systems, low-voltage systems, or installed infrastructure solutions
  • Experience conducting site walks and making client-facing recommendations on system layout
  • Experience owning deals from prospecting through close in a project-based sales environment
  • Ability to define solution concept and scope before engineering involvement
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with security integrators or low-voltage contractors
  • Experience selling access control, CCTV, gates, barriers, or perimeter systems
  • Familiarity with commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or government environments
  • Experience managing multi-step or installation-based sales cycles

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a defined territory through net-new business development
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities
  • Conduct site walks to assess environments and identify security needs
  • Recommend system layout and device placement (cameras, readers, gates, etc.)
  • Define the initial solution concept prior to engineering involvement
  • Collaborate with engineering, CAD, and operations to finalize designs
  • Present solutions, develop proposals, negotiate pricing, and close deals
  • Manage pipeline, forecasting, and CRM activity
  • Build long-term client relationships and expand existing accounts
