About The Position

The Sr. Account Director, Client Services is responsible for leading the planning, insights, strategy, ideation and execution of consumer engagement initiatives for key accounts. These responsibilities include account planning, project development, and reporting. In addition, provides a high level of service to client representatives and co-workers and assists the organization in achieving a services excellence culture. This role is responsible for managing key account relationships and ensuring that clients are dutifully serviced based on established scopes of work and client protocols. Also, the Sr. Account Director will have a sales function including the preparation and presentation of prospective client sales pitches or proposals, along with the selling and upselling of marketing services to current and/or future clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 9+ years of experience in agency, brand or consumer products
  • Good interpersonal skills, along with the ability to collaborate across entire organization along with being able to build relationships with external vendors and clients.
  • Passionate individual willing to immerse him/herself in their work.
  • Superior communication skills: oral, written and listening.
  • Ability to work effectively with management.
  • Ability to make oral presentations.
  • Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and effectively set priorities and deliver on time.
  • Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers.
  • Must be flexible when necessary; able and willing to explore and test new ways of doing things; must not remain set in ways to the detriment of the Company’s competitiveness.
  • Must show initiative and possess the ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in event execution or experiential marketing preferred.
  • Experience in digital, social media marketing and/or content development is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning process for brand initiatives inclusive of strategic and tactical development, proposal creation and delivery, and leading cross functional efforts in the development of proposals.
  • Contribute to articulating and formulating strategic offerings and positioning.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the client’s target audience, industry, competitive landscape, and business objective.
  • Supervise and/or directly manage program execution, budgets, deliverables timeline, and post-promotional reporting in accordance with company systems and processes.
  • Develop effective client relationships to facilitate communication and execution with internal departments including business insights, content and communications, creative and production to ensure that deliverables are successfully achieved.
  • Responsible for oversight of timeline revisions.
  • Monitor and adjust agency/client budgets and billing process for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Make autonomous decisions on behalf of our company strategy.
  • Manage assigned direct reports, ensuring accountability, results and alignment with the company’s service-oriented culture.
