About The Position

Burson is looking for a Senior Account Director with a specialization in Influencer Marketing to join their team. This is a newly created role due to continued growth in their influencer marketing offering and client portfolio. Influencer marketing is a core part of Burson's business, and they are seeking a candidate who is passionate about this field. The ideal candidate will have a social-first mindset, be knowledgeable about influencer marketing, and have a deep understanding of lifestyle consumer brands that excel in partnerships. They should also have proven experience leading key accounts, a passion for client service excellence, and experience in direct report team management and operations.

Requirements

  • 9-12 years of experience in PR & Influencer relations.
  • 4-5 years of experience with direct reports.
  • A strategic mindset and deep knowledge in the social media space, including the latest trends.
  • Client service oriented, able to manage complex scopes of work, multiple projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to develop meaningful influencer relationships that result in authentic storytelling and drive measurable impact.
  • Deep understanding of metrics and insights from priority social platforms and other emerging channels for optimization, learnings, and future plan recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end influencer strategy and execution, acting as the key client lead to achieve maximum impact of the overarching brand story.
  • Collaborate on building annual influencer-first strategies, ideas, and frameworks for clients.
  • Manage a large volume of influencer campaigns, ensuring they are on budget, on time, and on strategy with an error-free project management approach.
  • Oversee research, identification, negotiation, and project management of influencer programs.
  • Oversee the development of compelling content for various brands with different audience considerations.
  • Review and approve campaign reports by tracking and optimizing organic and paid influencer content, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights and opportunities.
  • Lead social media listening to stay informed on trending content and audience behaviors to inform new partnerships, content opportunities, and social strategies.
  • Stay updated on emerging social trends, platforms, technologies, and influencers in the Canadian market.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts in the influencer space at multiple levels and grow these relationships over time.
  • In partnership with the VP, Influencer Marketing, educate and share knowledge with teams on trends and best practices.
  • Manage a team of direct reports at various levels, demonstrating an exemplary work ethic and providing daily counsel.
