About The Position

This course focuses on 21st century approaches to education which includes diverse ways of knowing from diverse sources. Students in this course integrate community-based learning in Ontario schools with seminars to explore education today and in the future. As an online course, the content and syllabus has already been created for the course.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education
  • Post-secondary teaching experience in Education
  • K-12 teaching experience in educational contexts in Ontario
  • Scholarship and/or leadership in Education
  • Teaching qualifications (OCT or equivalent)
  • Bachelor of Education and/or K – 12 teaching certification
  • Teaching experience at the postsecondary level in an education program
  • CV
  • Candidate Application Form (CAF)

Responsibilities

  • Teach EM301 VA1: Seminars in Education (Winter 2027) in an asynchronous online format.
  • Integrate community-based learning in Ontario schools with seminars.
  • Explore education today and in the future.
  • Utilize existing course content and syllabus.
  • Manage a class size of up to 80 students.
  • Potentially engage in marking and grading allowance as per Article 28.2.
  • Potentially coordinate large classes or multi-section courses as per Article 28.3.
