We are seeking a Semiconductor Tool Install Construction Coordinator to work full-time on site with our client located near Santa Clara, California.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction, semiconductor facilities, tool installation, or manufacturing project coordination.
  • Experience working in cleanroom or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of construction sequencing, MEP systems, semiconductor facility infrastructure, contractor management, and industrial safety practices.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, P&IDs, and installation packages.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor fab construction or tool install experience.
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors in active manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with CSA and hook-up processes, subfab infrastructure, tool move-in logistics, cleanroom protocols, and semiconductor equipment installation.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onsite construction and installation activities for semiconductor manufacturing tools and supporting infrastructure.
  • Serve as primary field contact between construction contractors, facilities teams, equipment owners, and operations personnel.
  • Support execution of tool hook-up activities, demolition and retrofit work, cleanroom modifications, utility and piping installations, electrical and controls work, structural and seismic installations, and subfab and chase construction activities.
  • Support detailed installation schedules and construction sequencing plans.
  • Coordinate outage windows, utility shutdowns, and tie-ins with manufacturing and facilities operations.
  • Identify schedule risks and execution conflicts and escalate appropriately.
  • Track milestone completion and provide regular status updates to project leadership.
  • Assist with installation readiness reviews and turnover planning.
  • Enforce site safety requirements and semiconductor fab construction protocols.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with lockout/tagout procedures, cleanroom gowning and contamination control requirements, hazardous material handling procedures, permit-to-work systems, and confined space and hot work requirements.
  • Participate in daily safety walks, pre-task planning, and incident investigations as needed.
  • Support compliance with OSHA, NFPA, building code, and site-specific standards.
  • Coordinate installation activities involving process gases and chemical systems, HVAC and exhaust systems, electrical distribution, CDA, vacuum, chilled water, and process cooling systems, fire protection systems, structural supports, and seismic bracing.
  • Review construction packages, drawings, and work permits for field execution readiness.
  • Verify field conditions and support issue resolution during installation activities.
  • Maintain daily construction logs and installation status reports.
  • Track RFIs, field changes, permits, and action items.
  • Support as-built documentation and turnover package completion.
