About The Position

The candidate selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the Chandler Fab Implant equipment area. The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain primarily the toolsets within the following tool groups: Implant Axcelis NV/GSD, Applied Materials Quantum ULE, Applied Materials E500HP, Applied Materials VIISTA. This includes the rebuild and repair of ION Sources, Flood Guns, Aperture Electrodes, Electromagnetic Energy Reflectors, Current PAEs, 3-Axis Electrodes, and Reflectors. The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems and demonstrate problem-solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The candidate will be required to understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals. The desired candidate may be required to complete documentation and train others. The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lifting/carrying objects up to 50 pounds. The position requires working a compressed shift with days shifts available.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of SPC, 5s, and FDC systems.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interface with other internal and external groups.
• Ability to understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours).
• Physically able to perform required tasks including stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lifting/carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment and sustain equipment with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

• AA, AS, AAS in electronics or other mechanical discipline is preferred.
• Experience in Implant or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the Chandler Fab Implant equipment area.
• Effectively executing tasks required to maintain primarily the toolsets within the Implant Axcelis NV/GSD, Applied Materials Quantum ULE, Applied Materials E500HP, and Applied Materials VIISTA tool groups.
• Rebuilding and repairing ION Sources, Flood Guns, Aperture Electrodes, Electromagnetic Energy Reflectors, Current PAEs, 3-Axis Electrodes, and Reflectors.
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Performing scheduled maintenance and consumable changes.
• Completing documentation and training others.
• Diagnosing equipment alarms, reading operational data, and creating action plans.
• Using root-cause problem-solving techniques to solve complex problems on Semiconductor toolsets.
