About The Position

The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in Chandler Fab Implant equipment area. The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain primarily the toolsets within the following tool groups: Implant, Axcelis NV/GSD, Applied Materials Quantum ULE, Applied Materials E500HP, Applied Materials VIISTA HCP. The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems and demonstrate problem-solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The candidate will be required to understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals. The desired candidate may be required to complete documentation and train others.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of SPC, 5s, and FDC systems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interface with other internal and external groups.
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours).
  • Physically able to perform required tasks including stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lifting/carrying objects up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Implant.
  • Military training may satisfy formal education requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in Chandler Fab Implant equipment area.
  • Maintaining toolsets within the Implant, Axcelis NV/GSD, Applied Materials Quantum ULE, Applied Materials E500HP, and Applied Materials VIISTA HCP tool groups.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and consumable changes.
  • Diagnosing equipment alarms, reading operational data, and creating action plans.
  • Sustaining equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment with minimal direction.
  • Using root-cause problem-solving techniques to solve complex problems on Semiconductor toolsets.
  • Completing documentation and training others (may be required).
