SEMI LOCAL CDL-A DRIVER
About The Position
This semi-local driving position involves a dedicated lane with regular routes to AR, IA, IN, IL, MD, MI, MN, MO, OH, TN, and WI. Drivers can expect to average 2,130 miles per week with a compensation of $0.61 per mile. The schedule is typically 5 days of work with 2 consecutive days off, and start times range between 07:00 and 11:00. Layovers of 2-3 nights per week are common. The freight consists of unprocessed plastics for recycling, transported in bales. This role involves live loading and unloading, as well as drop and hook operations, but is strictly no-touch freight. Uniforms will be provided.
Requirements
- CDL-A license required.
- Ability to average 2,130 miles per week.
- Willingness to have 2-3 nights of layover per week.
- Must be able to perform live load/unload operations.
- Must be able to perform drop and hook operations.
- No touch freight.
Responsibilities
- Drive a semi-local route to various states including AR, IA, IN, IL, MD, MI, MN, MO, OH, TN, and WI.
- Transport unprocessed plastics for recycling in the form of raw baled plastics.
- Perform live load/unload operations.
- Execute drop and hook procedures.
- Adhere to a 5-day work week with 2 consecutive days off.
- Maintain a start time between 07:00 and 11:00.
- Manage layovers of 2-3 nights per week on average.
