About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Semi Driver where safety and people are core values. We care about our people and it shows! This is a hiring immediately position with pay dependent on experience and paid weekly. The typical schedule is Monday – Friday with the occasional rotating on-call schedule, and the typical shift is 7 AM - 5 PM with overtime eligibility. This position is based out of our Austin, TX branch.

Requirements

Unrestricted class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a semi.
Must possess physical agility to load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
Customer-oriented.
Team-player.
Safety oriented.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and meet Sunstate's standard of excellence.
Detail oriented.
Capable of providing superior customer service.

Nice To Haves

Wrecker or flatbed driver hauling heavy construction equipment experience.
Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
Instruct customers on the safe & proper operation of the equipment.
Complete paperwork.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain communication with co-workers and customers effectively and professionally.
Maintain safety standards and a safe driving record.
