About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Semi Driver. This position is local, with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday and an occasional rotating on-call schedule. The typical shift is 7 AM - 5 PM, with overtime eligibility. Requirements

Unrestricted Class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a semi.
Physical agility to load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
Customer-oriented with the ability to instruct customers on equipment operation.
Team-player with effective communication skills.
Safety-oriented with a commitment to maintaining safety standards and a safe driving record.
Coachable with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Detail-oriented with the capability to provide superior customer service.
Must be within a reasonable commute of the Buford area 30518.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a wrecker or flatbed driver hauling heavy construction equipment.
Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Drive a semi-truck locally to transport heavy construction equipment.
Load, offload, and secure equipment using chains and binders.
Instruct customers on the safe and proper operation of equipment.
Complete necessary paperwork.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain effective and professional communication with co-workers and customers.
Prioritize safety and maintain a safe driving record.
Learn and adapt to meet company standards.
