About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Semi Driver. This position is local, with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday and occasional rotating on-call duties. The typical shift is 7 AM - 5 PM, with overtime eligibility. The pay is dependent on experience, with a typical range of $26 - $34+ per hour, paid weekly. Requirements

Unrestricted class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
Minimum 1 year of experience driving a semi-truck.
Physical agility to load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
Customer-oriented with the ability to instruct customers on equipment operation.
Team-player with effective communication skills.
Safety-oriented with a commitment to maintaining safety standards and a safe driving record.
Coachable with a willingness to learn, adapt, and meet company standards.
Detail-oriented with the capability to provide superior customer service.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a wrecker or flatbed driver hauling heavy construction equipment.
Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Drive a semi-truck locally to transport equipment.
Load, offload, and secure equipment using chains and binders.
Instruct customers on the safe and proper operation of equipment.
Complete necessary paperwork.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain effective and professional communication with co-workers and customers.
Prioritize safety and maintain a safe driving record.
