About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Semi Driver. This position is local, with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday and an occasional rotating on-call schedule. The typical shift is 7 AM - 5 PM, with overtime eligibility. Pay is dependent on experience, with a typical starting range of $27 - $34+ per hour, paid weekly. Requirements

• Unrestricted class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a semi.
• Physical agility to load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
• Customer-oriented.
• Team-player.
• Safety oriented.
• Coachable, willingness to learn, adapt, and meet Sunstate's standard of excellence.
• Detail oriented and capable of providing superior customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Wrecker or flatbed driver hauling heavy construction equipment experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Drive a semi-truck locally.
• Load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
• Instruct customers on the safe and proper operation of the equipment.
• Complete paperwork.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain communication with co-workers and customers effectively and professionally.
• Maintain safety standards and a safe driving record.
