The Semi Driver is responsible for operation of commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw material with attention to prompt and efficient customer service. This role involves running established routes, picking up raw materials, weighing in raw material when returning to the plant, and weighing in and out of customer locations as needed. The driver is responsible for ensuring loads are tarped before leaving the plant or customer location and maintaining cleanliness at customer locations. They are also responsible for the company vehicle, keeping it in clean condition, and conducting all safety checks and inspections. The Semi Driver must operate the vehicle under state, federal, and local regulations, in accordance with company policy and procedures, and observe all company safety rules. Maintaining excellent customer relations through a professional appearance and attitude is crucial. The role requires completing all company-required paperwork, maintaining and updating the vehicle condition report daily, and managing DOT hours of service with an onboard computer in accordance with company policy. Other duties as assigned.
