About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Semi Driver where safety and people are core values. We care about our people and it shows! This is a local driving position with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday, with occasional rotating on-call duties. The typical shift is 7 AM - 5 PM, with overtime eligibility. Requirements

• Unrestricted class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement.
• DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a semi.
• Physical agility to load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
• Customer-oriented.
• Team-player.
• Safety oriented.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and meet Sunstate's standard of excellence.
• Detail oriented.
• Capable of providing superior customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a wrecker or flatbed driver hauling heavy construction equipment.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
• Instruct customers on the safe & proper operation of the equipment.
• Complete paperwork.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain communication with co-workers and customers effectively and professionally.
• Maintain safety standards and a safe driving record.
