About The Position

The Semi Driver is responsible for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw material with attention to prompt and efficient customer service. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, days, with drop and hook. This role involves running established routes, picking up raw materials, weighing in raw material when returning to the plant, and weighing in and out of customer locations as needed. The driver is responsible for ensuring loads are tarped before leaving the plant or customer location and maintaining cleanliness at customer locations. The position also requires maintaining the cleanliness of the company vehicle and conducting all safety checks and inspections. The driver must operate the vehicle under state, federal, and local regulations, in accordance with company policy and procedures, and observe all company safety rules. Maintaining excellent customer relations through a professional appearance and attitude is essential. The driver is responsible for completing all company-required paperwork, including route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, mileage reports, and service forms, in accordance with company policies. A daily vehicle condition report must be maintained and updated. The driver must also maintain DOT hours of service with an onboard computer in accordance with company policy. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current CDL Class A license holder with Tanker Endorsement
  • Clean MVR
  • Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Responsibilities
