The Semi Driver is responsible for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw material with attention to prompt and efficient customer service. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, during the day, with drop and hook procedures. This role involves running established routes, picking up raw materials, weighing them in when returning to the plant, and weighing in and out of customer locations as needed. The driver is responsible for ensuring loads are tarped, maintaining cleanliness at customer locations, and keeping the company vehicle in clean condition. Safety is paramount, including conducting all safety checks and inspections, operating the vehicle under all relevant regulations and company policies, and observing all safety rules. Excellent customer relations are maintained through a professional appearance and attitude. The role requires completing all company-required paperwork accurately and on time, maintaining a daily vehicle condition report, and managing DOT hours of service with an onboard computer in accordance with company policy. Other duties may be assigned.
