About The Position

The Semi-Conductor Assembler builds assemblies according to work instructions, work orders, and drawings. The role also involves setting up equipment, maintaining hardware inventory, keeping the work area orderly, and performing quality checks and testing on finished products. The assembler maintains accountability for product and process quality and required documentation, follows quality and safety guidelines, and may provide guidance to lower-level associates on task completion, skill acquisition, and technical matters.

This is a temporary position. It may require ongoing visual acuity testing, including near-vision and normal color-vision testing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience.
• Hand-soldering and mechanical assembly experience.
• Competence in hand-soldering techniques sufficient for rework and repair.

Nice To Haves

• Training to industry standards such as IPC, J-Std, or NASA.
• Previous or active certifications and experience with NASA 8739 and/or J-STD-001 Space Addendum.

Responsibilities

• Provide general guidance to lower-level associates on task completion, new skill acquisition, and technical matters.
