About The Position

We're hiring a Semantic Content Brief Developer to design the research and structure behind every piece of content our writers produce. This role sits at the intersection of SEO strategy and content planning where you'll analyze search intent, map topical and entity relationships, and translate that research into clear, actionable content briefs that help writers create pages built to rank in traditional search and AI-driven answer engines. You'll work closely with the SEO, content, and editorial teams to strengthen topical authority across our software categories.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in semantic content brief development, SEO content operations, or a closely related role.
• Strong working knowledge of semantic SEO principles: search intent, entity-based optimization, topical clustering, and content structuring.
• Hands-on experience with SEO and content research tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer, Clearscope, or similar).
• Comfort working in Google Search Console and interpreting keyword/performance data to inform content decisions.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data into clear, writer-friendly briefs.
• Strong written communication skills — briefs must be precise, well-organized, and easy for writers to execute against.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines across several content categories at once.
• Genuine interest in how search engines and AI-driven answer systems evaluate and reward content quality.

Nice To Haves

• Experience writing or strategizing content in the SaaS, B2B tech, or software review space.
• Familiarity with NLP concepts or how large language models parse and rank content.
• Experience working within a CMS and collaborating directly with writers and editors on content workflows.

Responsibilities

• Research target keywords, topics, and search intent using tools such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and keyword clustering methods.
• Conduct SERP and competitor content analysis to identify content gaps, ranking patterns, and opportunities for topical differentiation.
• Build detailed, semantically structured content briefs including heading vectors, target entities, related terms, questions to answer, search intent, and internal linking guidance.
• Apply keyword clustering and topic mapping to group related queries and plan comprehensive, semantically complete content.
• Partner with writers and editors to ensure briefs translate into high-quality, high-ranking content, providing feedback as drafts develop.
• Monitor how published content performs against rankings, traffic, and engagement, and refine brief methodology based on results.
• Collaborate with the broader SEO team to support topical authority building and content cluster strategy across software categories.
