About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to build and advance a career working with Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) in a semiconductor-focused environment. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with sample imaging techniques, including Cross-Section SEM (XSEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX), and sample cleaving.

Requirements

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 2–4 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) experience.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work a shift‑based schedule as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Certificate in a related technical field.
  • Experience in metrology or related technical areas.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting a variety of semiconductor applications using Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) to image challenging structures.
  • Experience imaging samples at the wafer level, including acquiring profile, sidewall, and top‑down images using SEM.
  • Some experience with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis.
  • Knowledge of SEM image optimization for a variety of materials.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of Best Known Methods (BKM) for SEM imaging of new applications.
  • Ability to perform SEM alignments and correct basic fault conditions on metrology equipment.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with a large internal customer base.
