About The Position

Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader and is hiring now for a Self Storage Manager. Our Property Managers get to work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside. They assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies. Daily storage unit inspections are performed to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready to rent. Auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits are part of the daily business. Property Managers also help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.

Requirements

Experience in customer service centered sales environments (retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies)
Valid driver's license
Must utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business

Responsibilities

Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions
Sell packing and moving supplies
Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
Keep customers current with payments
Make reminder and collection calls
Transport/lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
Walk in/around facilities, spending up to 50% of time in outdoor environments
Climb stairs and open large doors
Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas
Maintain exterior grounds/curb appeal, keeping them clean and free of debris
