About The Position

Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader and is hiring now for a Self Storage Manager. Our Property Managers work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside. They assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies. Daily storage unit inspections are conducted to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready to rent. Auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits are part of the daily business. Property Managers also help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.

Requirements

• Experience in customer service centered sales environments (retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to utilize own vehicle for travel between work locations
• Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
• Ability to walk in/around facilities, spend up to 50% of time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors

Responsibilities

• Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions
• Sell packing and moving supplies
• Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
• Assist customers with payments and make reminder and collection calls
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds
