About The Position

Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader and is hiring now for a Self Storage Manager. This role involves working independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside. Responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs and making suggestions, selling packing and moving supplies, conducting daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and assisting customers with payments through reminder and collection calls.

Requirements

• Experience in customer service centered sales environments (retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business.
• Ability to transport/lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions.
• Sell packing and moving supplies.
• Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Assist customers with payments, including making reminder and collection calls.
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds.
