About The Position

The Body Production Engineering (BPE) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Team Member to support new model Machine Seibi project activities at various U.S., Canada, and Mexico manufacturing facilities. This role involves daily meeting plans, job tracking, technician coaching, OJT, fostering communication and problem-solving, supporting kaizens, and ensuring team safety and standardized work adherence. The objective is to provide new model processes that meet targets for Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (or higher) in a technical field, or 2 years of equivalent technical work experience
  • Body Production Engineering (BPE) Machine Seibi or body maintenance experience
  • Basic to intermediate PLC experience
  • Basic to intermediate Robot teaching and setup skill
  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel up to 66% at times (including international travel)
  • Ability to work up to 50% overtime

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Industrial Maintenance or another technical related field

Responsibilities

  • Offline and/or online robot programming
  • Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
  • Prepare and confirm new Body equipment at the vendors
  • Support Body Machine Seibi activity at NAMCs from installation to start of production
  • Participate in effective written and verbal communication with Machine Seibi Team Members, Project Leaders, Management and outside groups regarding issues that require resolution
  • Promote teamwork, and improve the Machine Seibi group’s skill by coaching, conducting OJT with ‘hands-on’ tasks, and arrange off-job training as needed
  • Support Machine Seibi projects and engage in travel (or dispatch) up to 66% to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan
  • Commonly work overtime up to 50%, including weekends and holidays
