About The Position

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Audit Director for its Internal Auditing & Advisory Services (IAAS) team. This role will support internal risk-based audits for one of Caterpillar’s primary segments. IAAS aims to enhance enterprise effectiveness and efficiency by providing independent assurance, risk management, process governance, internal control, and advisory services, acting as a trusted business partner.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline plus significant progressively responsible job-related experience
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience
Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations
Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them

Responsibilities

Serve as audit director for IAAS team
Responsible for development of the segment internal audit plan targeting the highest risks
Lead audit teams through each audit phase including pre-scoping, planning & scoping, fieldwork and wrap-up & reporting
Partner with segment and division teams to ensure appropriate action plans are developed and issues are remediated
