About The Position

OCS Security is seeking an experienced Security Systems Project Engineer to deliver integrated security projects across a diverse client base, including public, private, construction, retail, commercial, and sports venue clients. This hands-on role involves leading projects while working alongside engineers to install, commission, and deliver security systems. The engineer will work closely with OCS Design, Projects, and Operational Teams to support delivery from design through final handover.

The successful candidate will be motivated and customer-focused, with strong leadership skills and technical knowledge. They will lead engineers on site, engage with clients, and manage projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Enterprise security platforms such as Axis, Dallmeier, LenelS2, Milestone, Synectics, Salto, Gallagher, and Honeywell are desirable; equivalent enterprise-level security systems experience will also be considered.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in a Project Engineer or similar role within the security industry.
• Proven delivery experience with CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, and integrated security systems projects.
• Experience leading engineering teams while maintaining a hands-on technical approach.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and design documentation.
• Experience working with clients, contractors, and key project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of RAMS, safe systems of work, and relevant industry standards.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Electrical or security-related qualification.
• ECS and/or CSCS Card.
• IPAF and PASMA certifications.
• SSSTS qualification.
• First Aid at Work certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Axis, Dallmeier, LenelS2, Milestone, Synectics, Salto, Gallagher, or Honeywell; equivalent enterprise-level security systems experience is also considered.
• SC Clearance.
• Experience using Microsoft Project and Bluebeam Revu.
• Fibre Optic and/or Networking certifications.
• Project Management qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of electronic security projects, including installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Supervise and support engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers across multiple sites.
• Conduct site surveys, review technical designs, and provide expert guidance on security systems.
• Coordinate project planning, testing, client demonstrations, and compliance with British Standards and company procedures.
• Produce project and audit reports.
• Drive continuous improvement and technology adoption.
• Work with OCS Design, Projects, and Operational Teams to deliver projects from design through handover.
