About The Position

IK Systems is seeking a Technician II to deliver best-in-class installation and service for critical security and life safety systems. This role involves installing and servicing large-scale, networked low-voltage security systems, including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and structured cabling. The technician will also support integrated solutions such as life safety, audio-visual, building automation, and endpoint security. Collaboration with project teams, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of systems are key responsibilities. The role requires representing IK Systems as a trusted partner on-site and building strong customer relationships. Work performed involves low voltage security system installation and service in Charles County, Maryland, requiring a Charles County Restricted Master Electrician License or eligibility to obtain one.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in low-voltage installation and service
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to travel (<100% nationally) until further notice
• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Charles County Restricted Master Electrician License (or equivalent from another Maryland jurisdiction for reciprocity)

Nice To Haves

• Candidates holding an equivalent Restricted Master license from another Maryland jurisdiction may qualify for reciprocity.
• A current Certificate of Insurance is required to maintain active license status.

Responsibilities
