About The Position

Field Service Maintenance Technicians (Floater) are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and reactive service repair on paint and electromechanical equipment at big box retailers. This role involves nationwide travel, servicing stores in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado, with an average of 2-4 overnight travel days per week. The company, DOC Services Inc., has over 28 years of experience providing support and repair solutions for equipment like paint shakers, tinters, mobility carts, check-out stands, and mobile storage systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with electromechanical equipment
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Acceptable Driving Record
  • Minimum two years of equipment repair experience or combination of training and experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read and understand schematics
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record along with proof of insurance
  • Satisfactory background check is required
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behavior, and a positive attitude
  • Written, verbal and electronic communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures on equipment and then providing a solution
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair machines
  • Respond to on-site preventative maintenance service calls within contract time frames
  • Communicate effectively with customers, supervisor, and coworkers
  • Use computer applications including Microsoft office and call management software
  • Know and understand safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repair
  • Other duties as needed
