About The Position

A client of 66degrees is seeking a consultant to engage on a 12-month remote contract with the potential to extend/convert. This role functions as a member of the Security Support team, focusing on frontline duties and interacting with technical and business units. The position requires mid-level Active Directory and Azure MFA experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. The Information Security Support Helpdesk Contractor will support Security helpdesk operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in discipline appropriate to assignment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year’s experience in an Information Security role or experience in an IT helpdesk capacity.
• Experience working with Active Directory and MS EntraID.
• Working Knowledge on IAM is required.
• Fundamental knowledge of information security principles and best practices.
• Must have a desire to learn and adapt in a corporate environment.
• Must have strong self-starter skills and a willingness to collaborate within a team environment.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must have a basic understanding of information security principles, network protocols, and security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the technical and business user community to support incoming security requests and tickets submitted by users.
• Contribute to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of clients data and infrastructure while enabling business functionality in all systems and environments by validating user identities prior to assistance.
• Assist in supporting the Identity Access Management team.
• Provide Level I Support for user password resets and MFA onboarding, resets, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate with stakeholders to assist in remediation efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
