Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS/CIS or related field, with concentration on IS/Cybersecurity
  • Two-to-five years of IS experience
  • Must be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Must have excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work in a team and be energetic

Nice To Haves

  • some cybersecurity certifications
  • System Admin (or similar) experience supporting network security and developing automation
  • Familiarity with SIPRNet (Secret Internet Protocol Router Network) connection is a plus
  • Strong project management skills a plus, as are organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the IS&S Applications Systems, Infrastructure & Operations, and Service Center teams to improve cybersecurity of business-critical systems
  • Working directly with team members to develop requirements, develop pilots, and assist in transition to production use
  • Developing and operationalizing cyber sensor and cyber analytics architectures to enable more efficient and effective Information Security capabilities, threat-hunting, and forensics analysis
  • Conducting cyber mission dependency, criticality, mission failure, and adversary cyberattack scenario analyses to inform design of IS resilient architectures
  • Researching, developing, operationalizing, evaluating, and improving IS defensive tactics, techniques, and procedures for detecting and responding to cyber threats
  • Using tools and technologies to build detection capability and to support hunting the adversary in IS environments
  • Performing forensics analysis to support cyber incident analysis
