About The Position

NASCAR seeks a professional to join our team as a Part-Time Security Specialist. This role supports the Corporate Security team by helping ensure NASCAR-sanctioned facilities meet established security standards. The Part-Time Security Specialist assists with facility assessments, event-day security operations, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe environment for guests, employees, and stakeholders during race events.

Requirements

Prior law enforcement experience (current or retired) required
Ability to meet Federal HR 218 requirements
Ability to maintain required certifications (firearms, medical, licensing)
Valid driver’s license
Strong judgment and ability to respond effectively in dynamic environments
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working outdoors and in event-based environments
Willingness to travel frequently and work weekends/holidays aligned with the race schedule

Responsibilities

Support security operations at NASCAR-sanctioned events, including on-site presence and coordination
Assist with executive protection and special assignments as needed
Respond to and document incidents, preparing clear written reports
Conduct assessments of sanctioned facilities against NASCAR security standards
Assist in maintaining and improving security procedures and protocols
Support the protection of corporate assets and sensitive information
Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement and public safety agencies during events
Communicate security-related information to internal teams and partners
Maintain awareness of emerging security practices and technologies
