About The Position

As a Security Specialist in the H&W Field, you will develop and implement security protocols to safeguard associates, assets, and facilities. This role requires collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards while responding effectively to emergency situations. You will lead efforts in risk mitigation, incident management, and security awareness, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Security Specialist team is committed to ensuring a secure and compliant environment by protecting associates, visitors, assets, and facilities. They actively monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct patrols, investigate concerns, and manage access controls. Collaborating with management, emergency responders, and external partners, the team upholds company policies and regulatory standards. With professionalism, sound judgment, and effective communication, they support continuous improvement and emergency preparedness, reinforcing Walmart’s dedication to integrity, safety, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in corporate and physical security, including asset protection and risk mitigation.
  • Strong knowledge of security controls, access controls, and incident management protocols.
  • Ability to implement and monitor compliance with regulatory and corporate policies such as PCI, OSHA, and Fire Code.
  • Skilled in responding to emergency situations with tactical security measures and crisis response.
  • Proficient in auditing security systems and maintaining security awareness programs.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office and security alarm devices to support operations security.
  • Successful completion of all core components of the Physical Security Specialist Training Academy within 90 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of any new core components (or re-certification requirements) of the Physical Security Specialist Training Academy during employment.
  • 1 years’ experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency services, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate, and implement security processes and practices aligned with business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and address compliance with corporate policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols including PCI, OSHA, and Fire Code.
  • Lead and participate in teams to coordinate work assignments, provide guidance, and support quality and timeline achievement.
  • Respond to emergency situations with tactical security measures and initiate incident command protocols as needed.
  • Investigate security incidents, assess threats, and assist with mitigation efforts to protect associates, assets, and information.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external partners to promote a safe and secure environment.
  • Support development and improvement of security programs, training, and SOPs.
