Responsibilities Security Specialists provide security services for the assigned program (e.g., threat assessment/management, intelligence, security technology, workplace violence, education and training) or special projects/assignments to all Mayo functions and entities, and to external clients as directed. Security Specialists may also be required to research or revise security-related policies, procedures or standards and apply structured improvement methodologies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with three years of progressively responsible security experience or associates degree with five years of progressively responsible security experience or HS/GED with seven years of progressively responsible security experience.
  • Strong ability in leadership, personal interaction, time management, assessments, analysis, ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and project administration, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation, or equivalent, required within two years of date of employment.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic Policy
