About The Position
The Security Specialist is a non-commissioned security officer whose primary duties are to protect people and property. The role is responsible for investigating criminal offenses that occur on facility property and enforcing facility rules and regulations. Security officers are not authorized to exercise police officer powers. The position is in the Campus Police department at Miami Valley Hospital South.
Requirements
- High school completion or GED.
- OPOTA-required Basic Security Guard Training, including the state-required 20 hours of firearms training.
- Valid Ohio driver's license.
- Able to work under pressure and handle many interruptions while remaining calm and pleasant with the public and facility personnel.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree.
