About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will collaborate with all levels of leadership, as well as internal and external customers, to support a variety of interesting and dynamic programs. This position provides onsite support for the site’s security program.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • High School diploma and 7+ years of relevant security work experience
  • 4-5 years prior AFSO or FSO experience
  • Strong security technical background with experience leading people, security programs, and/or a site
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment while complying with policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
  • High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn new skills and adapt to an evolving security environment
  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on clear presentation of complex information
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM
  • Experience with DISS, NISS, and SIMS
  • An active Top Secret security clearance is required to apply, however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance prior to the start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
  • Experience with STIG Compliance Checker (SCC), STIG Viewer
  • Experience with audit software (e.g., PowerStrux, MITRE SAF)
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, VMWare, and AWS
  • Experience with SIPRNetwork or JWICS

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and enforce government and company security policies, providing guidance to employees and program managers
  • Develop, revise, and maintain security documentation and procedures in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and program-specific requirements
  • Support and advise on security matters for both prime and subcontractor activities, including DD254s and security guidance
  • Educate personnel, advise senior management, and conduct general and program-specific security briefings
  • Lead and support security audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action plans to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA) and U.S. Government security customers
  • Oversee physical security systems, secure area requirements, contingency plans, and emergency response procedures
  • Administer the site’s Insider Threat program and serve as incident commander for security emergencies
  • Support other security disciplines, including Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance (IA), Document Control, and Visitor Control
