About The Position

This position requires a minimum active Secret Clearance to be considered. ProSync is seeking passionate Security Specialist II/III to help support the Naval Surface Warfare Center by executing critical physical security, access control, and compliance activities across Navy facilities, secure workspaces, and classified environments. The specialist enhances NSWC’s security posture through formal assessments, facility accreditation support, alarm and access system maintenance, and adherence to Navy, DoD, and Intelligence Community security standards. The role ensures personnel, spaces, and sensitive information remain protected while contributing to the command’s broader security and intelligence objectives. The pay for this position ranges between $100-125k with some flexibility depending on Location, experience and overall qualifications.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) in the DoD or IC.
  • Experience with physical security compliance and access control systems.
  • A minimum Secret security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • If a proposed individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications, eight (8) years of professional technical activities related to security would be considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical security surveys, threat and risk analyses, fence‑line assessments, lighting surveys, and annual inspections in accordance with NSWC and DoD standards.
  • Support execution of physical security and force protection programs, including Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMs).
  • Review Unified Facility Criteria (UFCs), secure room requirements, and construction standards, ensuring compliance across multiple sites.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and support remediation of Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Access Control System (ACS) issues, maintaining accreditation standards.
  • Apply expertise in managing access control systems to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard sensitive NSWC areas.
  • Gather and analyze physical security data to support internal reporting, weekly and monthly metrics, and program evaluations.
  • Assist with security inquiries and investigations by collecting relevant data and coordinating with NSWC security personnel.
  • Support training and awareness activities for physical security requirements within the command.
  • Collaborate with NSWC’s Security & Intelligence Operations Directorate, Command Security Division, and related branches to meet mission requirements.
  • Coordinate with government security staff regarding access, investigations, and compliance reporting, ensuring alignment with command policies.
