About The Position

Aima Data Management is looking for a Security Specialist Generalist to work in ABQ, New Mexico. This role serves as a Security Specialist with expertise in one or more security disciplines, including Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, Operations Security, and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security. The position is responsible for the management, implementation, interpretation, and development of security programs, managing day-to-day operations, and acting as a liaison with various stakeholders. The role involves analyzing, planning, advising, and evaluating the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for protecting agency information, operations, facilities, and personnel. It also includes conducting security studies, assessments, and surveys, preparing written reports and assessments, and coordinating with various agencies and partners to resolve security concerns and improve security programs. The specialist will review and recommend modifications to existing security policies and procedures and develop new ones as needed.

Requirements

  • Security Fundamentals professional Certification (SFPC), or the ability to obtain certification within six months of onboarding date.
  • Experience supporting Security related programs with US government.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years military service required.
  • Strong writing and reporting skills, with the demonstrated ability to brief high level customer stakeholders and senior staff.
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Security Specialist and has experience and knowledge working as a subject matter expert in one or more of the following security disciplines: Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, Operations Security, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security.
  • Responsible for the management, implementation, interpretation, and development of the security program(s).
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of assigned areas and acts as a liaison with higher-level managers, subject matter experts, and customers both within and outside the Agency.
  • Analyzes, plans, advises, and evaluates the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting the information, operations, facilities, and/or personnel of the Agency from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
  • Conducts security studies, assessments, and surveys and provides recommendations and briefings on policy/position papers relative to the Personnel, Physical, Information, Special Compartmented Information/Special Access Programs, Operations, Industrial, Anti-terrorism/Force Protection, and Information Security programs.
  • Prepares written reports and assessments and makes recommendations for corrective action.
  • Coordinates within the Agency, other US agencies, military services, and state, local, and tribal partners to resolve security concerns and to improve security programs.
  • Ensures security standards are being administered by reviewing and making recommendations regarding existing policies, procedures, and techniques and develops new or modifies existing security policies, processes, and procedures in assigned areas.
