About The Position

The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for administering all security activity for their assigned shift to ensure compliance with company rules and regulations. This role involves directing employees during emergency situations, preparing written incident reports, and supervising the activities of security officers. The supervisor also oversees training, including security certifications mandated by gaming commissions, and assists in protecting casino assets like cash. Additionally, they help maintain order within the casino, rotate security officers for specific tasks like blackjack drop counts and slot machine drops, and supervise employee clock-ins and outs. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Has access to all areas under the direction of the Director of Security.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all security activity for assigned shift to ensure compliance with company rules and regulations.
  • Direct employees engaged in emergency situations.
  • Prepare written incident reports for customer complaints or disputes.
  • Supervise the activities of security officers.
  • Supervise training in addition to security certifications mandated by the Gaming Commissions rules and regulations.
  • Assist in ensuring that cash and other assets of the casino are protected at all times.
  • Assist in maintaining order in the casino.
  • Rotate security officers in making the blackjack drop count and slot machine drop and closing of any or all departments involved with a cash register.
  • Supervise the clocking in and out of employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
