About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Shift Supervisor for a corporate site in Boston, Massachusetts. The schedule is Sunday and Monday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The starting pay is $23.14 per hour, and paid orientation and training are provided. Candidates must have at least two years of previous security supervisor experience and be at least 21 years old. The role supervises and coordinates quality services during an assigned shift and acts as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers. The supervisor oversees staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.

Requirements

• At least two years of previous security supervisor experience.
• At least 21 years of age, as stated in the job description; the qualifications section also lists a minimum age of 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare neat, legible written reports and logs frequently.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently at the client site.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to use innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; a driver record check may also be required.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to applicable state and local laws and regulations.
• For driving positions: valid driver's license, at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record under the stated company criteria, required minimum insurance, and ability to safely operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.
• Handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Prepare written reports and logs.
