About The Position
The Healthcare Security Service Supervisor oversees day-to-day security operations within Lemontree Healthcare facilities to help ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and property. The role supervises security officers, enforces healthcare security policies, and collaborates with other departments to maintain a secure environment. The supervisor leads officers on shift, provides guidance and training, monitors security systems, conducts patrols, and responds to and investigates incidents. The role also enforces healthcare-specific protocols, maintains incident records and reports, coordinates emergency responses, and works with healthcare staff and department heads on security and access-control concerns. This full-time position lists a schedule of Monday through Friday and weekends, with a shift of 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Working conditions may include rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays. The work takes place in office and field settings and may involve extended standing or walking and occasional physical exertion.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a security role.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems, and access control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions in emergencies.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare security or a similar setting.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and guide security officers on shift.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training on security protocols.
- Ensure security personnel follow safety, security, and emergency-response procedures.
- Oversee and monitor CCTV, alarm, and access-control systems and ensure they function properly.
- Conduct routine patrols, identify potential security threats, and address them.
- Respond to and investigate incidents, including theft, vandalism, and emergencies.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
- Enforce healthcare security protocols and regulations, including visitor management, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
- Ensure security operations align with Lemontree Healthcare safety and security policies.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and safety reports.
- Submit regular reports to senior management about security breaches or concerns.
- Lead and coordinate security responses to medical emergencies, natural disasters, fire alarms, and other urgent situations.
- Ensure emergency-response procedures are followed during crises.
- Work with medical, administrative, and facility management teams to address security concerns and promote a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with department heads on access control and safety during high-traffic periods or special events.
