As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Panel Operator in Garner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, manage access control and badge processes, and assist with alarm panel and X-ray screening activities. Deliver outstanding customer service while using computers or tablets to document observations and communicate with site personnel. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and alarm or camera systems as assigned, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
