Residing on 88 acres on the east side of Evansville, Ind., our facility provides medical treatment for chronic mental illness and substance abuse disorders from our dedicated team of psychiatrists and advanced practice professionals. Active Treatment helps our patients achieve their goals directed towards living in the most non-restrictive environment possible. Our team of professionals assist our patients in the treatment process involving medical staff, nursing, psychology, social work, rehabilitation therapy and our community integration program. Evansville State Hospital continues to maintain accreditation through The Joint Commission as an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital as well as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services certification as a Psychiatric Medicare/Medicaid Hospital. Role Overview: Safety/Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the security and safety of patients, staff, and visitors on the grounds of the Evansville State Hospital and Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center, and when escorting patients and/or staff off grounds. Shift hours will be 11:00 PM- 7:00 AM with weekend rotation.
