The Security Resource Assistant I, under moderate supervision, ensures the safety and security of the University community by monitoring, receiving, processing, and responding to information related to physical security, access control, and safety concerns. Serves as a representative of The University of Alabama, demonstrating excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and security of the campus community. Provides exceptional safety assistance to the University community and visitors. Performs foot patrols. Secures and locks University facilities. Responds to alarms. Processes non-emergency assistance requests. Staffs the central monitoring station, Bryant Dorm, and the Strip Precinct. Monitors and operates video surveillance systems, alarm systems, and communication platforms. Maintains detailed logs and records of daily activities. Engages with all members of the campus community and visitors in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner, fostering a welcoming and secure environment. Requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekly pattern. May drive UA vehicle as needed.
