About The Position

As a member of Talos, you will support cutting edge detection and mitigation technologies. You will work towards keeping yourself abreast of the latest industry threat creation and defense techniques, and you will develop proof-of-concept solutions, provide domain expertise and guide implementation to facilitate successful security posture in of Cisco’s products. Your Impact : Security research including Malware analysis and Threat Detection mitigation. Research root cause and input conditions related to a vulnerability. Write detailed technical reports, summaries, and testing methodologies Research emerging technologies, protocols, and testing methodologies Write detection content to detect and/or block threat actor activity Analyze vulnerabilities and emerging security threats and technologies. Provide critical security focused expertise to engineering organizations

Requirements

BS Degree
Experience in Threat Research and/or Malware Research and Analysis
Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python)
Must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Cisco networking infrastructure equipment configuration
Experience with Windows, Linux and MacOS system telemetry and events
