About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking a Part-Time Security Receptionist in San Francisco, CA. This role is responsible for providing professional assistance to tenants, employees, and visitors, offering directions, escorts, and general support while enforcing property rules respectfully. The Security Receptionist will serve as a calm and approachable presence, maintain clear radio communication, coordinate with relevant security and law enforcement agencies, and provide security coverage for events. The position requires excellent customer service skills, a strong command presence, and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments and procedures. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in security or customer service fields and possess a mandatory California Guard Card.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong command presence.
  • Mandatory California Guard Card.
  • CPR certification is desirable.
  • Prior EMT experience is highly desirable.
  • Military and/or law enforcement backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and procedures.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
  • Comfortable using security systems, radios, and incident reporting tools.
  • Excellent computer, grammar and punctuation skills are a must.
  • Conflict de-escalation and customer service skills.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Military encouraged to apply!
  • CPR First Aid & AED cert preferred.
  • Prior EMT experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional assistance to tenants, employees, visitors.
  • Offer directions, escorts, and general support while enforcing property rules respectfully.
  • Serve as a calm, approachable presence along the Embarcadero corridor.
  • Maintain clear radio communication with supervisors, dispatch, and fellow officers.
  • Coordinate with Port of San Francisco security, building management, and local law enforcement when required.
  • Follow all post orders, emergency procedures, and property-specific protocols.
  • Provide security coverage for scheduled events, tenant functions, and increased foot-traffic periods along the waterfront.
  • Assist with crowd awareness, perimeter monitoring, and safety oversight during activations.
