About The Position

Alto is hiring drivers for immediate starts in San Francisco! Drivers can join the Alto team as a W-2 employee and drive a company-provided luxury SUV to complete trips on the Uber app. Drivers will earn a guaranteed hourly wage, plus tips and employee benefits. Alto has been redefining the rideshare experience for drivers since 2018, providing all the necessary tools so drivers can focus on delivering great rides. Alto handles all vehicle costs, including fuel, maintenance, and insurance, eliminating out-of-pocket expenses for drivers. Drivers are paid by the hour, with top drivers making over $25/hr including base hourly pay, bonuses, and tips. Safety is a top priority, with built-in dash cams and a 24/7 support team.

Requirements

Must be eligible to drive on the Uber app (no suspensions from the Uber platform).
Must be 25 years of age or older.
Must have a valid California Driver's License.
Minimum of 1 year of driving experience in the United States.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Must have a clean driving record.
Fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

Drive customers using a company-provided luxury SUV.
Complete trips on the Uber app.
Focus on delivering great rides for passengers.
Communicate verbally and follow directions from the Driver Support team.
Use navigational apps (Uber driver app, Google Maps, emails, web browsing).
Use company-provided mobile devices and applications to support data collection activities.
Accurately document route information, observations, and any issues encountered during driving sessions.
Enter and exit the vehicle consistently to assist customers with their luggage.
